The following tracks are songs written, arranged and produced by me featuring vocalist Colleen De Winton.
Colleen de WintonBorn in New Zealand, based in Byron Bay.As a child,Colleen had a deep desire to be onstage as a performer but started relatively late (27) before realising this dream. She worked with a number of bands doing covers material and her passion led her to Europe in 1989 where after joining a blues band she found herself winning a bands competition in France with a subsequent inpouring of offers from European recording labels. Unable to take up these offers due to the birth of her son Kalin, meant she spent over ten years doing solo shows and duo acts around New Zealand and Australia and a national tour of New Zealand in a five women comedy show entitled "Exposed". Colleen discovered she had a gift for storytelling, comedy and movement and developed a number of shows to display these skills.Onstage she is a pivotal prescence holding audiences spellbound with a voice that switches from soothing to soaring, one moment relating a mystical story then the next moment achieving thrilling volume and emotion. Colleen's current band is called Ionnah. See the seven piece Ionnah performing' Breathing' on Youtube.

Mike Moczulewski
Stephen Russell
In 2001 I started working with Mike and Steve from Red Candle. Mike and I met in the forum attached to IUMA and started trading files.
Mike and Steve had already collaborated in this fashion on an album called 'Arrhythmia" producing the single 'Skew'.
Mike
would send me sketched vocals and piano of his songs and I arranged them using
Acid Pro, Soundforge and live samples. I would send these back to him so he
could redo the vocals to the sometimes completely different tempos I had invented
for his songs. There would be a few more mails back and forth between us and
then Mike would send them to Steve in Bristol to 'embed' the vocal sound and
do an overall polish ( as by then my capacity to 'hear' it was exhausted!)
These are two of the fully completed tracks from the Red Candle project. The
songs for this album were written by Mike Moczulewski from Wisconsin USA, arranged
by me, then given a final mix by Stephen Russell in Bristol UK. This whole album
was produced through emails and mp3 files. We had nine of the ten songs on the
album, and I had completed all the arrangements when the tragedy of Sept. 11
caused a temporary cessation of creativity in the band's pivotal member, Mike.I
included them here as a testimony to the creativity and high quality of the
group's work together, andI am happy to report that this project has now finally
been completed !Along the way we have changed our name , twice-
we were 'Dream Out Loud'
there for about a year. Then Mike changed the name yet again to " The
Signal Hybrid".
