The name says it all - com.passion....
The 'com' stands for 'computer' - a large part of my creative activity takes place in a studio that is dependent on a PC for recording, effects, sampling and looping and finally burning and presentation.
It also suggests other 'coms':
communication
communitycommitment
- and all of these are part of who I am and why I make music.
Karena Wynn-Moylan-songwriter / arranger / producer/ artist
"I make music that requires listening - sometimes danceable, uptempo, sometimes a meditative 'wall of sound'.I am difficult to define in those tight little categories so beloved of marketing men and websites - I'm a little bit new age , a little bit pop; I dabble in spoken word and jump right over into acoustic folk and swirl right back with electronica and slip over into jazzy grooves. I go where the song leads and with the music's mood. I'm searching for my authentic self in these performances, which is maybe why sometimes people miss that edge of irony that permeates many of the lyrics. I don't believe you devalue your integrity by having a good laugh at yourself.
The goal is to make meaningful music for myself and to hopefully reach others ,to start them on their own personal trek of self investigation through the power and passion of sound and song. "

The Pass, Byron Bay, Australia.
Born in Australia, based in Byron Bay,I have been writing songs and composing tunes for most of my life. A parallel career as a successful fine artist took up two decades, before I decided to devote myself more fully to developing my back catalogue of songs and compositions via the web and performance and recording.
I play keyboard and guitars and develop arrangements with complex layered programming. As a songwriter I find it too limiting only writing the style of songs I can sing, so I engage other vocalists in the creative process.I also compose compositions for film and TV which can be heard mainly in the USA and Europe on programs like MTV and the Discovery Channel.
With the internet group Dream Out Loud, (formerly 'Red Candle' ) I produced the album "Life in the Barrens' with band members Mike Moszculewski ( Wisconsin USA )and Stephen Russell (Bristol, UK). a second album is currently in production.
Joining forces with vocalist Colleen de Winton produced the stage show 'Trance Tales' and a subsequent CD of stories and songs.
I have won a number of awards for my instrumentals and I am represented by Pump Audio , New York.
" I find there are two circumstances I need to produce songs- I need to be completely alone, or in a big crowd.
Either situation will produce that sense of isolation I require that enables me to 'tune-in' to the inner voice, the sense of emotion I need to allow me to express the inexpressible, to hear that universal heartbeat. I come from a slightly dysfunctional childhood, which left me with a sense of longing and incompleteness, a constant pain that needs to be exorcised by the production of something beautiful.
I have always been keenly aware of the fleeting fragility of this life and the temporary nature of existence. Writing songs and painting are just ways of trying to leave a small mark on the universe, a form of consolation for myself and I hope for others"
